My therapeutic approach draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, I am currently certified in the Gottman Method (Levels 1 and 2), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), as well as in Polyvagal Therapy. This integrative approach allows me to support clients in exploring their stories, developing insight, and creating lasting change.
I support clients navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, anger, relationship challenges, boundary setting, and grief. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, empowered, and equipped to move forward with clarity and confidence.

Licensed Counsellor, MA, CCC, RCC, TITC-CT/CFST

Carstairs, AB & Virtual

True healing is rarely just about talking; it’s about understanding how your history lives in your body, your mind, and your daily life. With over two decades of experience as a Nurse (LPN) prior to becoming a Clinical Counsellor, I offer a unique perspective that bridges the gap between physical health and emotional well-being. I have seen firsthand how life’s heaviest challenges and the weight of trauma can fundamentally alter your health, your relationships, and your very sense of self.

My approach is deeply rooted in this dual expertise. As a Clinical Traumatologist and Early Intervention Specialist, I blend medical insight with a compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic approach. Whether we are utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to shift patterns or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to find flexibility, our work is always integrated and holistic. I don’t just see a set of symptoms; I see a whole person worthy of a life defined by more than what they’ve been through.

Helping you heal from trauma is more than my profession – it is my passion. In our sessions, you will find a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment designed for meaningful growth and lasting recovery. My goal is to help you rediscover your inherent strength, rebuild the trust that may have been lost within yourself and others, and move forward with a renewed sense of hope and empowerment.

You’ve spent enough time in survival mode. Together, we can create the emotional wellness and stability you deserve.

Practicum Student Counsellor, MACP Candidate

Carstairs, AB & Virtual

I’m a practicum student counsellor completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. As someone local to the Carstairs area, I understand the unique strengths and challenges that can come with small-town and rural living, and I’m passionate about making counselling feel approachable, comfortable, and accessible.

I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as you are—without judgment or pressure. My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered, with a focus on building a genuine therapeutic relationship and meeting each person where they are. Together, we can explore what you’re experiencing, better understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools to help you move forward.

I work with children, teens, and adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, stress, life transitions, self-esteem, relationship and family challenges, and other everyday struggles. I recognize that reaching out for counselling can feel intimidating, especially if therapy is new to you, and my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and heard.

At Rural Haven, I provide counselling under the supervision of an experienced Canadian Certified Counsellor as part of my graduate practicum. This allows me to offer low-cost counselling at $50 per 60-minute session, with sliding-scale options available when needed.

Whether you’re looking for support for yourself, your teen, or your child, I’d be happy to connect and see if working together feels like the right fit.
